I love Critical Role! I love watching friends have fun, in any capacity, and I have gotten so much out of it in learning to be a better player and GM. I mean, it all basically comes down to "Don't forget to love each other" tbh haha

Things I dig: Combat wheelchair (DND 5e)

The combat wheelchair is a super cool thing that not only empowers players but adds nuance about your world not being ableist in certain ways, and I think that's dope.

Things I dig: Carousing (Downtime activity for D&D or any TTRPG system)

Carousing is basically just letting your players get themselves into a delicious bit of trouble... spend some coin, regain sanity points, commit some light treason... I love it. You should be using it between adventures!

Player Roleplay Tips: Play a rude/abrasive/contentious character (without making people mad)

Rude/unpleasant characters can be fun to play but know you run the very real risk of making the rest of your table dislike and resent you if you play this kind of character. But you can absolutely explore that story as long as you keep a few things in mind. When interparty conflict is done right, it can be pretty great. Try this out in a one-shot if you're able, it's a cool avenue to 'try' things without necessarily committing to it.
